State Funding for Our Towns

It is vital to ensure all students have a safe, modern building to go to each day that fosters an environment of learning. To that end, I want to discuss a pair of projects I was able to help secure funding for through the state which will ensure our students have those updated facilities that they deserve.

COVID-19 Update

Once again, I find myself having to write about the Covid pandemic. Despite the relief we felt when the long winter finally yielded to the spring and to the optimism the vaccine brought, we are, once again, entering a time of uncertainty. Middlesex County is no longer considered in the “safe” zone, and our hospitals are again being overburdened.

Rep. Palm applauds new funding for projects in Deep River, Haddam

State Representative Christine Palm (D- 36^th) and State Senator Norm Needleman (D-33^rd) announce the inclusion of state funding for renovation projects in the towns of Deep River and Haddam. The value of the bonded money for both projects totals $807,000.

A Vote on Executive Orders

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives met in a special session to vote on whether or not to extend the Governor's authority to issue executive orders per Connecticut’s emergency declaration. After much deliberation, I voted "yes."
