February 22, 2024Here are my remarks from Thursday's press conference with CT Project Action Fund on the new kindergarten age requirement bill that passed last session. The legislation would change the age to 5 by September 1, starting with the 2024-25 school year. It's a sound policy, but it might need a delay in the start date.

Governor Activates Severe Cold Weather Protocol
January 17, 2024Governor Lamont has announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a period of extremely cold weather resulting in very low wind chill values over the next several days, he is directing the state’s severe cold weather protocol to go into effect Wednesday afternoon (1/17) and remaining in effect through noon on Monday (1/22).
