Kate Rotella is a first-term State Representative serving Stonington and North Stonington’s 43rd district. She serves as a member of the Appropriations Committee, Education Committee, and Internship Committee in the 2019 legislative session.

Prior to her service in the General Assembly, Kate served as a Selectwomen for three years for the Town of Stonington. During her tenure she was the vice chair of the K-12 building committee.

Rep. Rotella is a Purchasing Manager for the Capitol Region Education Council. She is the Legislative chair for the Purchasing Association of Connecticut. She is a member of the Purchasing Council for Capitol Region Council of Governments and serves as the Chair.

On the National level, Kate is a member of the National Institute of Government Purchasing where she occupies the role of Finance Chair and Treasurer.

She received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Haven and her Bachelor of Science in Economics from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Rep. Rotella lives in Mystic with her son Gianni. She has lived in Stonington for over 20 years and considers herself lucky to call such a beautiful community home.
