In this email, you can read about my visit with Connecticut State Treasurer Russell at Stratford High School, a roundtable discussion with Office of Early Childhood Commissioner Elena Trueworthy and Stratford early childhood education facility directors, educators, and care providers, and state and local resources I hope you find useful.

This week, on Wednesday, November 12th, the House of Representatives met for a Special Session. The legislature used the Special Session to address the funding shortfalls of the federal government, a new housing bill, and more. We passed $500 million to cover reductions in funding from the federal level.

As of 11/08/25, all Connecticut SNAP recipients, including 4,661 Stratford residents, have access to their FULL November benefits on their EBT cards.

Congratulations to all the newly elected Municipal elected officials here in Stratford! We had the highest turnout during Early Voting and continued strong on Election Day. Democracy is alive and well here in Stratford, and I couldn’t be more proud of how engaged people were in this election. I look forward to working together and serving the Town of Stratford with all of our local elected officials.
