As summer is winding down, I hope everyone is able to enjoy the last few weeks enjoying our beaches and awesome parks! In this week’s email, you will find local and state updates from several state and local agencies that may be helpful for you and your family. I want to extend a thank you to everyone who joined me this week at my first Pizza and Policy constituent event at the Parlor! Over the course of the summer, I’ve sincerely enjoyed hosting in-district office hours and speaking with many of you about the issues that matter.

It was a busy week here in Stratford, filled with updates from the CT DOT on the extensive road work and repairs happening around town, to visiting local community organizations, meeting with local leaders, and hosting my summer in district coffee hour at the Blackbirds Nest.

Happy first day of August! There are several state and local announcements in this week's email that you may find helpful. CT DOT milling and resurfacing along Main Street (Rt. 113) continues and is estimated to be complete by August 6th. I will be announcing additional community office hours in next week's email in an effort to provide in-person opportunities to meet with constituents here in Stratford.

I hope you are all keeping cool in this heat and enjoying summer! I hope you all had a safe and meaningful Fourth of July! To me, our Independence Day is about reflecting and honoring the ideals of freedom, democracy, and the generations of Americans who have fought to protect them for almost 250 years. It's also a time to come together with our families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate what unites us. In a country that often feels divided, our shared values and sense of community through everyday actions and service matter more than ever.
