Several new laws that were passed during the 2025 legislative session take effect on Tuesday, July 1 including our two-year budget and much more.

Faster, affordable, and more reliable broadband is coming to Milford as the state announced another $10 million in state grants to expand internet access.

Drivers should be aware there will be lane closures for milling and resurfacing in Milford. The work will begin Monday on Seaside Avenue and East Broadway Street from Route 162 to the gate at Silver Sands State Park.

The Trump Administration is cutting approximately $150 million in federal funding to Connecticut, jeopardizing critical public health, mental health, and addictions services.
