Frank J. Smith is a lifelong resident of Milford’s West Shore area and a graduate of Milford Public Schools. He has served as a member of Milford’s Inland Wetland Agency, Milford’s Council on Aging, Senior Center Building Committee, and various public organizations and neighborhood groups.

Frank was elected alderman representing the 3rd aldermanic district from 1998-2001 and again from 2011-2021. He also served as Ordinance Committee Chairman and Aldermanic Liaison to the Milford Public Library.

In 2020 he was elected State Representative of Milford’s 118th house district. Frank has served on the Environment, Education and Housing Committees, the latter as Vice Chairman. He was re-elected to the House in 2022 and now also sits on the Transportation Committee.

Frank and his wife Diane have five children, five grandchildren and live in Milford’s Laurel Beach neighborhood with their dog Rocky.
