I was honored to be one of six legislators invited from across the country to explore the fascinating world of nuclear energy in France last week.

During this trip, I had the privilege of touring cutting-edge facilities and engaging in discussions with brilliant minds in the field. The commitment of France to clean energy is truly inspiring, and the dedication of the professionals I met is commendable. 

The journey was not only educational but also allowed me to forge meaningful connections with fellow legislators from different backgrounds and political affiliations. It was a bipartisan group united by a shared goal of shaping policies for a sustainable future. 

I would like to express my gratitude to the National Conference of State Legislatures and the Nuclear Energy Institute for organizing this experience. Their efforts in facilitating such exchanges are invaluable as we strive to understand advancements in energy and explore sustainable solutions for a brighter and cleaner tomorrow.

As your representative and Chair of the House Select Committee on Sustainable and Renewable Energy, it is my duty to stay informed about emerging technologies and developments in the energy sector. This knowledge will enable me to make informed decisions when shaping policies that promote sustainability and renewable energy sources.
