Updates Around Ridgefield

March 15, 2024

Lots still happening at the Capitol every day. We continue to attend public hearings and pass bills out of our committees. The days we aren’t in Hartford we are back in our districts, balancing legislative work with local events. This week I was happy to show my friend, State Comptroller Sean Scanlon, around our beautiful Main Street and, along with First Selectman Rudy Marconi, introduce him to many of our small business owners.

We were informing these businesses of the MyCTSavings program where business owners can create a retirement program for their employees at no additional cost to them. We visited The Cake Box, Ridgefield Running Company, Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe, Addessi Jewelers, and Books on the Common. Not surprisingly, each of these businesses stressed that taking care of their employees was a huge priority for them.

Ridgefield Top Ten Most Envied School District in Entire Nation!

Test Prep Insight recently polled 3,000 plus parents about which school districts they would hypothetically choose to have their children schooled in. After curating the results, they released a list of the 250 "most envied" school districts in the United States.

Excitingly, out of the entire United States, Ridgefield ended up at ninth place! This is just another testament as to how effective and prestigious our local education system is, something I vow to protect in my capactiy at Hartford.
