Dear Neighbor,
The Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Connecticut Rivers Council Scouting America, Connecticut Department of Transportation, and the Town of Ashford invite the public to join them this weekend for an America 250 celebration at June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation. The celebration will include the dedication of the Liberty Tree and a special portion of Route 44 dedicated to Revolutionary War hero, Lt. Col. Thomas Knowlton. Known as America’s first official military intelligence officer, Knowlton led the famous "Knowlton's Rangers." The dedication takes place on his former historic homestead.

Come out to celebrate our local history as part of the official America 250 celebrations! The event will feature remarks from local & state officials and a deep dive into Knowlton's incredible legacy. This event is free and open to the public.
