The next Emergency Energy Assistance cycle will be open from September 1^st-15^th. Generation Power CT (GPCT) has (3) application cycles: September 1-15, 2026; December 1-15, 2026; March 1-15, 2027. Applications are only open during these specific timeframes. Applications are only open during these specific timeframes. If you have not received GPCT energy assistance in the 12 months prior to the application cycle, you will be eligible to submit an application for assistance. Each GPCT Assistance Program is income-based, and you will be required to provide proof of income for all adults in the household over 21. 

If you are applying for utility assistance (gas or electric), you are required to have made (4) payments on your utility account in the prior 12 months and have a past due balance. You can find specific eligibility criteria here.
