General Law Committee proposes legalizing cannabis for recreational use

March 19, 2019

House chairs of the legislature’s General Law, Judiciary and Finance convened a press conference to outline this year’s strategy for legalizing cannabis in Connecticut. General Law chair, Rep. Mike D’Agostino, said "Legalizing a substance that has been illegal for more than 80 years is a complicated process, and bills proposed in the three committees represent the first draft in a complex process.”

The March 17, 2019 edition of Face the Facts with Max Reiss on NBC Connecticut focused on Connecticut's move toward legal, recreational cannabis.
