Dear Neighbor,

This is Health Equity Week and everyone, regardless of the color of their skin or what zip code they live in, deserves quality health care. This is a fundamental right, right?

My colleagues and I are advocating for fairness, justice, and inclusivity in healthcare systems in CT and worldwide.

I am a proud co-sponsor of

HB5320, AN ACT CONCERNING HOSPITAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

Why? Simply put, too many patients struggle due to financial debt. They skip preventative care appointments and only go to the hospital when they have no choice and that only makes the care more expensive.

My colleagues and I are focused on passing new legislation this session that will make healthcare more affordable. Please watch the video below to hear my comments.
