Dear Neighbor,

Attention Danbury residents - Eversource has begun work on an Underground Cable Modernization Program (UCMP) in Danbury, which involves replacing two aging 115-kilovolt underground electric transmission lines.

Approximately 3.6 miles of cable will be installed in phases along roadways between the Middle River and Triangle Street Substations. This work will not cause an interruption in service for customers. After the cable installation, Eversource will coordinate with the City of Danbury on final restoration of the roadways. The entire project is expected to be completed by late 2027, with full restoration continuing into 2028.

Work hours will typically occur Monday – Saturday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., weather permitting.

Sincerely,

Ken Gucker
State Representative
