Honoring the Scouts on the House Floor

View this email in your browser Dear Neighbor, I took a moment to talk about the importance of Scouting during special session earlier this month. To show my appreciation, I wore my merit badge sash. I was inspired by fellow Eagle Scout and Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery - a couple of months ago, he wore his stash as he walked into Ford Field, the Lions' home stadium.  The Eagle Scouts played an important role in my daily life - the scout oath and law include values that we could all use in today's society. It was an honor to give the organization that shaped me into the person I am their flowers on the House Floor.
