March is International Women's Month. Women of every age, color, and background are shaping our future. Here's to smashing ceilings, rewriting rules, amplifying voices, and inspiring the next generation to do the same.

The House was in session on Thursday. Before we got started with the business of the day, I met with a group of students from Brien McMahon High School.

Last Wednesday, I held a press conference to discuss a proposed bill pertaining to juvenile justice.

I joined the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH), members of the End Homelessness Caucus, and other legislators and advocates for a press conference to announce the CT CAN End Homelessness 2026 Legislative Agenda.

Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On this day, we remember Dr. King's dream and our duty to fulfill it. He widely advocated for the investment in Black communities, a guaranteed income, the right to decent housing, and adequate education for all. We will continue to push for progress in his memory.

A Severe Cold Weather Protocol will be in effect through Wednesday, January 28 due to unusually cold weather. This protocol ensures shelters are available. People in need should visit 211ct.org or call 2-1-1 to find shelter.

Access Health CT (AHCT), Connecticut’s official health insurance marketplace, has announced that the final deadline to enroll in a health or dental plan for 2026 has been extended to Saturday, January 31. Customers who enroll now will have coverage starting February 1. Customers can also renew their coverage.
