Lighthouse Point Park Closed Due to Recent Storms
August 13, 2026New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker has put out a public notice, letting Elm City residents know that the storms that rolled through last night and early this morning resulted in significant damage to Lighthouse Point Park. Sadly, there are more than 50 trees down and major damage to the carousel building and other park facilities. As a result, Lighthouse Point Park will be closed for the foreseeable future, in the interest of public safety, as the city works to assess the total damage to the park and clean up the site.
