As we approach Thanksgiving, I wish to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. In this season of reflection, I am especially thankful for friends like you, the joy of shared moments, and the support that surrounds us.

Our community is strong thanks to our residents and everyone working together to make Windham such a great place to live.

Eastern Connecticut State University (ESCU) will host a traditional Thanksgiving meal tomorrow from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. at Hurley Hall for its 17th annual Day of Giving. Around 400 residents from the Willimantic community, who are in need, will enjoy a delicious spread.

ECSU will provide shuttle buses from Ashton Towers (at 10:45 A.M.), Father Honan Terrace (at 11:10 A.M.) and the Covenant Soup Kitchen (at 11:30 P.M. & 12 P.M). Residents from the Windham Senior Center also will attend. Parking is available on campus and accessible parking is available at the Student Center lot.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with the love of family and the company of good friends as we all cherish these moments of togetherness and celebrate the blessings that make life special. Let's also extend our thoughts to those facing difficulties and think of the importance of compassion and generosity. 

I am thankful for the opportunity to work for you in Hartford. It is a true honor to represent you.
