The federal government has awarded $334,789 to the Connecticut Fire Academy to improve the safety and effectiveness of firefighters across our state. The Connecticut Fire Academy is responsible for providing a state-of-the-art training at several locations including the Eastern Connecticut Fire School in Willimantic.

Windham is set to receive $240,000 in state funds to cleanup and revitalize two empty buildings in town with the hope of economic development and job growth.

Lori Brown from the League of Conservation Voters then joined us to talk about environmental bills that are on the table.
