"Moving Beyond Implications” Conference
On Thursday, December 12, State Representative Jaime Foster and I will cohost the second annual “Moving Beyond Implications” conference with CT Scholar Strategy Network (CT-SSN) and UConn’s Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP).

The purpose of this event is to bring academics and legislators together - researchers will present their relevant scholarship to policymakers and the policymakers will have an opportunity to respond with their research needs and questions, and generate connections to inform evidence-based policymaking in Connecticut.

Please see the flyer below for more information.

Fairfield Avenue Bridge Reopens
Great news! The Fairfield Avenue Bridge, which was damaged because of a fiery motor vehicle collision earlier this year, is open once again.

The new bridge was rebuilt within seven months thanks to the quick and effective efforts of several Connecticut state agencies, and a team of dedicated subcontractors from across Connecticut. Not only was the bridge completed ahead of schedule, the cost of the project was also lower than expected. I am grateful that the CT Department of Transportation and other state officials were able to collaborate to rebuild this bridge safely and efficiently.
