VIDEO: Recognizing International MS Awareness Week

On Monday, Representative Keitt recognized International Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week on the House Floor. Multiple Sclerosis, also referred to as MS, affects the central nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. The central nervous system controls everything we do. An estimated 3 million people live worldwide with the disease, with nearly 1 million here in the United States. In Connecticut, approximately 6,000 residents are living with MS, including Representative Keitt, who was diagnosed 26 years ago.
