Last month, on International Women’s day, I hosted EmpowHer, a women’s safety and resource summit, which included an informative panel, organization resource fair and community recognitions. The discussion was rich and insightful and I am committed to continuing the conversation on ensuring safety for all people in the state of Connecticut. |

I was also so proud to host the 2nd Annual Iftar celebration recently. The gathering included Muslim representation from all over the state including Hartford, Berlin, Avon, New Britain, New Haven, Waterbury, New London, Bridgeport and more. Thank you to all who helped make this possible. Ramadan Mubarak to all those who celebrated.
