Bills I've Co-Sponsored

March 21, 2024

Dear Neighbor,

Our session is in full swing and we’ve participated in many hours of public hearings and bills are making it out of committee.

I’m proud to have co-sponsored the following bills:

  • HB 5247: Allows small businesses to join together to create an association that can then purchase group health insurance, as well as SB 135 which sets a maximum charge of $100 for certain occupational licenses and registrations. One of my priorities is to support small businesses and to help attract and retain workers so that we have the people we need to fill the roughly 94,000 open jobs. All of this will make CT more appealing to businesses and families and will help keep growing our economy and our tax base.
  • SB 249: Helps develop and expand programs focused on early childhood education and care. A key element of workforce development is making sure families have access to early childhood education and care programming so that they can enter or re-enter the workforce.
  • HB 5003: Ensures that children and families have increased access to all available nutrition programs in the state, as well as HB 5510 and HB 5008 which seek to continue funding for student meals.
  • HB 5004: Implements and advances the state's goals for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, invests in renewable energy and green economy startup businesses, incentivizes sustainable purchasing by local governments and encourages the use of nature-based solutions to mitigate climate change. Communities, particularly coastal communities like ours, are facing the effects of climate change. I’ve also co-sponsored SB 192 which would allow the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to more readily take action to protect the public safety when a dam poses an imminent risk.

Donate to the 2024 Campership Fund

The Greenwich Department of Human Services Fund provides camp scholarships for Greenwich children. This year, the Fund is facing a shortfall in funding, which means 60 children miss out on summer camp unless we act now! Your donation, big or small, helps ensure these children experience the joys of camp!
