Dear Neighbor,
I am excited to share that we passed a bipartisan budget, including a $7.7 Million increase in funding for Manchester.
After months of negotiation, House Democrats shepherded passage of a bipartisan budget demonstrating that compromise remains the most effective way to govern. Together, we produced a 2027 budget that significantly boosts support for the state’s education system, increases crucial investments in housing and transportation, supports town and city budgets, and more. I am proud to share that this budget includes $71,320,844 in aid for Manchester, a total increase of $7,753,785 in funding. The budget we passed includes $5,247,464 in Supplemental Education Aid and $1,001,403 in Supplemental Pequot Grant.
This increase is a huge win for the Manchester community, schools, and residents. This funding represents your tax dollars being reinvested in Manchester to support our community. I am proud to represent Manchester, and it remains one of my top priorities to deliver the funding our town needs to support residents.
Connecticut residents made a call for help across our state. Connecticut lawmakers heard it and answered in a strong, bipartisan way. |
