Dear Neighbor,

This coming Monday, January 19th, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his contributions to our society. Take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary legacy of Dr. King, whose vision of justice, equality, and nonviolent resistance transformed our nation and continues to inspire people to this day. Dr. King's unwavering commitment to civil rights reminds us of the power of courage, compassion, and collective action to create meaningful change. Let's honor his memory by recommitting ourselves to the pursuit of equity, inclusion, and unity in our communities.

Manchester's 41st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Manchester High School Bailey Auditorium. This celebration is hosted by the Manchester Youth Commission and Manchester Public School's Department of Race and Equity. The theme for this year's celebration is inspired by Dr. King's quote, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter".

The program will honor the life and contributions of Dr. King by highlighting students and student groups who are dedicated to creating positive change in the community and uphold the values of social justice, equity and equality, and the fight against racial oppression. This event is free and open to the public.
