In light of the recent concerns around town on car break-ins and the recent attempted robbery on Greenwich Avenue, I wanted to share information on what I’ve been working on this past legislative session and that I helped drive in the House of Representatives.

Those who are experiencing a mental health crisis no longer need to remember 1-800-273-8255 or wait hours for help. They can now call or text the 988 National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, to connect with mental health professionals who are trained to respond to these emergencies.

I am pleased to share ReEmployCT, a revamped and modern Connecticut Department of Labor online platform that streamlines services and facilitates unemployment and tax filing.

This past session, we extended the eligibility for the PACT free community college program to part-time students and are encouraging as many students as possible to apply before the priority consideration deadline of July 15th.

The Connecticut Summer at the Museum program is returning for the 2022 summer season starting Friday, July 1.

I am pleased to announce Head Start on Housing, a cross-agency collaboration that will work to expedite housing subsidies for Head Start households.
