From The Fur Free Rally At Capitol

February 5, 2020

We had a pretty good turnout at the Capitol today for the Fur Free CT Rally on the North Steps.

I was joined by fellow state representatives Anne Hughes, Dorinda Borer and Mike Winkler along with animal advocates Annie Hornish, state director of the Humane Society of the United States and Liz Garrett (founder) and Amy Mallardi of Fur Free CT who spoke passionately about their campaign, founded in 2019 on the heels of a historic legislative victory for animals in California.

Fur Free CT, which consists of concerned citizens who care about animals and legislative representatives, seeks to ban the sale & manufacturing of new fur.

Together, we all should fight for social justice in every aspect of our daily lives, that includes protecting the voiceless.
