This week, State Representative Ron Napoli Jr. (D-Waterbury) joined the Chairs of the Higher Education Committee, State Senator Will Haskell (D-Westport) and State Representative Gregg Haddad (D-Haddad), at a stop on their statewide Debt-Free Community College Tour at Naugatuck Valley Community College. Last night's informational event covered specifics on the new financial aid program for students at instate community colleges that became law this year.

“The cost of tuition should not prevent Waterbury residents from reaching the middle class,” Rep. Napoli Jr. said. “Passage of debt-free community college this past session removed a key roadblock for families hoping to have a shot at a life of financial stability without facing years of debt. I’m grateful for the Chairs’ work on this important piece of legislation and am excited to share details of the new measure with my constituents.”
