Start of Session & Legislative Resources

January 10, 2025

It was a privilege to take the oath of office at the State Capitol on Wednesday to begin my fourth term as the State Representative of the 73rd District. I am beyond grateful to serve once again as your voice in Hartford. Opening Day at the Capitol symbolizes a renewed commitment to serving our community with dedication, integrity, and purpose.

It was an honor to welcome my friend, Waterbury Mayor Paul K. Pernerewski Jr., to the house chamber. My colleagues in the Connecticut General Assembly who had the opportunity meet him, gave Mayor Pernerewski Jr. a warm welcome in recognition of the remarkable work he is doing to uplift and improve Waterbury. It was wonderful to see his efforts acknowledged and celebrated at the state level.

As chair of the Chair of the Bonding Subcommittee, I look forward to working collaboratively with my colleagues to address the challenges ahead and create meaningful progress for the people of Connecticut. We have plenty of work to do, including addressing homelessness, creating more affordable housing, and improving public education funding. The Office of Legislative Research just released its report of important issues the General Assembly may face this year.
