UPDATE: Manchester Storm Damage

August 6, 2020
While we continue to pick up after tropical storm Isaias, please continue to report any outages directly to Eversource, and remember to treat downed lines as live/dangerous. In an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 1:40 this afternoon, United Illuminating and Eversource are reporting more than 595,000 outages combined throughout the state - down from the more than 700,000 reported yesterday. In Manchester alone, Eversource is reporting 7,623 outages for 26.09% of the Town.

  • The Town of Manchester says reports are still indicating that we will need to be prepared for multiple days without power.
  • The Manchester Senior Center will be open as a charging station from 8:30 AM today until 4:30PM for those who need it. Remember to wear your mask and follow social distancing guidelines upon arrival.
  • Yard debris may be dropped off at the Transfer Station or picked on regular collection day. See Yard Waste Disposal Reminders for more details.
  • If you need to file an insurance claim related to Tropical Storm Isaias, the Connecticut Insurance Department has some tips and resources.
