It has been an honor to be able to represent our beautiful City of Bridgeport in the capacity of Deputy Speaker and I thank Speaker Ritter for this reappointment. I am sure that 2021 will bring its own challenges, but I am up to the task and ready to get to work.

“Chris Rosario has the experience of presiding over the House during very demanding debates and has proven he has the patience and tenacity to do the job,” Speaker-designate Ritter said. “This reappointment is a no-brainer and I look forward to the work ahead.”

When the Speaker of the House is absent from the chamber, the Deputy Speaker presides over the House of Representatives, recognizes all members wishing to speak to the chamber, puts all questions to vote and directs legislation to the proper committees.

Chris Rosario represents Bridgeport's 128^th Assembly District.
