Speaker-Designate Ritter Appoints Rep. Garibay as Human Services House Vice Chair
December 9, 2020House Speaker-designate Matt Ritter (D-Hartford) announced that State Representative Jane Garibay (D- Windsor, Windsor Locks) has been appointed the House Vice-Chair of the Human Services Committee.
"I am thrilled that Jane has accepted this new role," said Speaker-designate Ritter. "She has done tremendous work for the residents in her district. I am confident in her ability to collaborate with House Chair Cathy Abercrombie and the other committee members in order to create meaningful legislation."
"I am so excited to be named Vice Chair of the Human Services Committee, " said Rep Garibay. "I look forward to working alongside Rep. Abercrombie and the rest of the committee members.”
Rep. Garibay represents the 60th Assembly District located in Windsor and Windsor Locks. In addition to her recent appointment, she will also serve on the Aging and Commerce committees. Rep. Garibay has been a member of the Connecticut General Assembly since 2018.
