REP. BARRY TO CO-HOST VIRTUAL WOMEN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS ROUND TABLE

 

State Representative Jill Barry, (D-Glastonbury) is co-hosting a virtual round table discussion on resources to help small businesses that are now available, focused on helping women and minority entrepreneurs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Co-hosting the panel with Rep. Barry on Wednesday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m. will be fellow State Representatives Amy Morrin Bello (Wethersfield) and Kerry Wood (D-Newington/Rocky Hill/Wethersfield) along with CEO, Fran Pastore and Business Advisor, Sherry Konwerski of the non-profit Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC).

The discussion will center on funding opportunities and support mechanisms available under the Coronavirus Aid Relief & Economic Security Act (CARES).

Small Businesses may qualify for a loan or grant for the Paycheck Protection Program, SBA Emergency Injury Grants, Economic Injury Disaster Loans, Community Investment Corporation Loans and the Equity Match Grant Program.
