FEMA Mobile Vaccination Unit in East Hartford

UConn Health and the Town of East Hartford are teaming up to distribute COVID-19 vaccines via a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Mobile Vaccination Unit (MVU) in East Hartford on April 28 and 29. 

The mobile vaccination unit will be located at at 936 Silver Lane, East Hartford (former Showcase Cinemas) from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The initiative is in partnership with FEMA, Connecticut’s Governor’s Office, and the Department of Public Health.

 

The Pfizer vaccine will be given to all those age 16 plus who have not been vaccinated yet. Those who are 16 and 17 years of age should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. An appointment for the second dose will be made on the day of your first vaccination.

Eligible individuals are strongly encouraged to make an advance appointment by calling UConn Health’s dedicated Mobile Vaccination Unit Scheduling Line at 860-679-6547 starting Thursday, April 15. The phone line is available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
