Fuel cells can offer a cleaner, more efficient, and affordable option to supplying and storing energy. They also provide new high-tech jobs, especially right here in Danbury at Fuel Cell Energy, Inc.

It's also one of the many reasons I support HB 6524: An Act Concerning The Solicitation Of New Fuel Cell Electricity Generation Projects, which will require electric companies to solicit proposals for new fuel cell electricity generation projects. Further expanding the benefits of fuel cell technology is an essential investment in our state's environment and future.

I had a chance to speak on the floor in support of this legislation this week but I want to recognize Danbury’s own Representative David Arconti for his hard work on this bill.
