House Passes HB 6451

The House has passed HB 6451which reflects the  Governor's agreement with the Mohegan  and Mashantucket Pequot Tribe. This bill modernizes gambling options available to state residents and extends Connecticut's longstanding relationship with the tribes. 

Through this bill, the two tribes and The Lottery will be able to operate online sports wagering. The two tribes will also be allowed to offer online casino gaming. Residents must be 21 and over to participate in both services. HB 6451 also includes provisions and regulations to prevent underage and excessive gambling.

This bill will have a crucial impact on our community. Not only will it protect and create jobs in Eastern Connecticut, the expansion and modernizing of gambling will provide millions of dollars in tax revenue to the state.
