Upcoming Road Work, Child Tax Credit, Free Community College & Plastic-free CT

I hope you had a nice holiday weekend! Below I have outlined a few updates from the state:

Road Work

Next week a project will be performed on Bridge No. 05963 on Route 104 (Long Ridge Road) Northbound and Southbound in Stamford.
 
The project consists of installing asphaltic plug joints and is scheduled to occur Monday, July 12, 2021 through Friday, July 23, 2021.  

LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 104 (Long Ridge Road) Northbound and Southbound from Route 137 to Loughran Avenue in Stamford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday night through Friday morning).

Child Tax Credit 
 

The federal child tax credit program will uplift countless working families across the nation. Under the American Rescue Plan, the child tax credit will increase from $2,000 to $3,000 for children under age 6, and to $3,600 for children ages 6-17.
