Mosquito Borne Illness

Due to the wet summer we experienced in Connecticut this year, the state is seeing a larger than normal mosquito population this fall. 

As of Oct. 4, West Nile virus was found in trapped mosquitoes in 45 towns, including Wethersfield. The State has also trapped mosquitos carrying Jamestown Canyon Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
