FEMA, SBA Disaster Assistance for Hurricane Ida

The Governor's request for individual and public assistance for Fairfield County has been approved! The Major Disaster Declaration allows FEMA to assist residents who suffered damage from the remnants of Hurricane Ida in September. The declaration also allows small business owners to apply for SBA disaster loans.

To apply for assistance, residents can visit https://www.disasterassistance.gov/, call 800-621-3362 between 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., or download the FEMA app. Residents can also go to https://www.stamfordct.gov/storms for further information.

SBA has opened a Business Recovery Center (BRC) at the Darien Library. for assistance. The BRC will remain in operation until further notice:
