Representative Leeper Named Vice Chair of Human Services Committee
(HARTFORD, CT) – House Speaker Matt Ritter (D-Hartford) has appointed State Representative Jennifer Leeper (D-Fairfield, Southport) to be Vice Chair of the Human Services Committee.
"I am honored to accept the appointment as Vice Chair to the Human Services Committee. The work of this committee is critically important, and I look forward to working alongside Representative Abercrombie and the other committee members to make meaningful legislative progress to serve our most vulnerable residents," said Rep. Leeper. "Thank you to Speaker Ritter for selecting me for this position."
In addition to her new appointment, Rep. Leeper also serves on the Commerce and Education Committees.
“I am confident that Representative Leeper’s leadership skills and experience will allow her to excel as Vice Chair to the Human Services Committee," said Speaker Ritter. "She has done tremendous work for her district and for the State, particularly in helping to pass legislation to protect and serve women, children, and families, as well as for seniors."
Rep. Leeper represent the 132nd Assembly District which includes Fairfield and Southport. She was elected to the Connecticut General Assembly in November of 2020.
