CTDOT Update: High Friction Surface Treatment Project

CTDOT will begin a high friction surface treatment project on Route 214 in Ledyard and Route 649 in Groton on April 1st. 

The project consists of placing a high friction surface treatment (HFST), curb to curb, over milled and reconstructed roadway surfaces. In addition, crack sealing and surface patching will be performed to repair the existing roadway prior to paving and placing the HFST. 

Motorists can expect lane closures on  Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Please remember to maintain a safe speed when driving in the work zone.
