State Department of Agriculture Awards Funding to CLiCK in Windham

I'm pleased to share with you CLiCK Inc. in Windham was awarded a state Department of Agriculture Farm Viability Grant to expand its kitchen capacity. The grant will be used to purchase infrastructure to increase its food processing capabilities, increase kitchen spaces, and offer farmers more opportunities to use CLiCK's processing kitchen.

Farm Viability Grants were awarded to 11 municipalities and agricultural nonprofits and totaled $337,000. This grant program works to address Connecticut's agriculture industry's needs and interests, particularly within areas of urban agriculture, food systems, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and farmland access.

Applicants could apply for up to $49,999 in grant fund with a 40% match for the total project costs. 

CLiCK, Inc is dedicated to developing a more just, equitable, and sustainable food economy in Connecticut by providing local farmers and culinary entrepreneurs with resources and opportunities, like its shared-use commercial kitchens, to grow their business and add value to their raw product.
