DOT Update for East Hartford
March 29, 2022The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the I-84 Eastbound off-ramp to the HOV lane in East Hartford will be temporarily closed from Sunday, April 3rd to Friday, June 3rd, 2022.
The project consists of removal of wearing surface, full depth deck repairs, membrane and paving associated repair areas on Bridge No. 05844A carrying I-84 Eastbound over Route 15.
DOT Project No. 0042-0325 was awarded to New England Infrastructure, Inc. at a cost of $3,265,959.00 on April 30, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed on November 22, 2021. This project is administered by the DOT Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction – District 1 in Rocky Hill.

The I-84 Eastbound off-ramp to the HOV lane in East Hartford will be closed from Sunday, April 3rd to Friday, June 3rd, 2022. The HOV lane can be accessed by the left hand on-ramp approximately one (1) mile further east along I-84 Eastbound between Exit 58 and 59 in East Hartford.
