Mortgage Relief for Manchester Homeowners

May 9, 2022

Last week, Governor Lamont announced the launch of MyHomeCT, a new program funded by the American Rescue Plan Act to provide mortgage relief for homeowners in Manchester and across Connecticut, who have faced financial hardship due to COVID-19.

Assistance is available for missed mortgage payments, future payments, and other housing costs, including real estate taxes, homeowners’ insurance, and tax liens. Each homeowner can apply for up to $30,000 in assistance.

At chfa.org/MyHomeCT, Manchester homeowners can apply for assistance online or find the nearest MyHomeCT Resource Center for in-person questions and answers. The nearest in-person MyHomeCT Resource Center for Manchester residents is through the Urban League of Greater Hartford (140 Woodland Street, 4th Floor, Hartford, 860-527-0147).

Mary Cheney Library in Manchester (586 Main Street, 860-643-2471) is also one of the statewide libraries with technology available to help you with your application.
