Rep. Allie-Brennan Hosting Anti-Bullying & School Climate Forum on Aug. 10

I am hosting an Anti-Bullying and School Climate Forum on August 10th with the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity and some of our state’s anti-bullying experts.

I’ve heard from many parents that they’re concerned about bullying. We owe it to our students to make sure our anti-bullying policies deter harassment and intimidation, and staff have clear guidelines as to what constitutes bullying and how to take appropriate action. That is why I am hosting this panel, to give parents, educators, and members of our community an opportunity to ask questions and help inform our legislative work as the state considers reforms to our anti-bullying laws.

Graphic with a navy blue background and a white band across the top. Rep. Allie-Brennan's headshot is in the upper left of the graphic. To the right of the photos is blue text that reads, "Anti-Bullying and School Climate Forum. Hosted by the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity." The lower 3/4 of the graphic reads, "August 10 from 6:30 to 8:30PM. This forum will feature some of our state's anti-bullying experts who will discuss the current state of Connecticut's anti-bullying law. Following the expert panel, there will be a response panel with legislators from around the state." There is a photo depicting four young adults gathering around a binder studying to the right of the text.
