Rep. Allie-Brennan Named Deputy Majority Leader

December 16, 2022

I have some exciting news to share with you! I have been named Deputy Majority Leader by House Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D – East Hartford, Manchester) starting with the next legislative session that convenes in January.

As Deputy Majority Leader, I will work with the Majority Leader to review legislation that has been voted favorably out of committees and the Senate and prepare the bills for action on the House floor.

It is an honor to serve the people of Connecticut in this leadership role. Not only will I be able to help shape the policy and legislative agenda for Connecticut, but I’ll be able to help ensure that the needs and interests of Bethel and Danbury are also represented.

Added Majority Leader Rojas, "I am excited to see Rep. Allie-Brennan step into a new role as Deputy Majority Leader. He has been a leader on energy issues having served as Vice Chair of the Energy and Technology Committee and Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Clean Energy Caucus. He will be an important voice for western Connecticut as we work to support towns and cities across the state."
