State Funding for Windham

December 16, 2022

I am proud to announce that Windham will receive funding for multiple projects through the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development’s (DECD) Brownfield Remediation and Development Program. The town received a $123,000 grant to remediate the former Knight’s Oil Property located at 1248 Main Street. This is great news for our town and I am looking forward to seeing this investment unfold.

Speaker Ritter and Majority Leader Rojas reappointed me to the position of Deputy Majority Leader.  I am deeply humbled and honored that they have reappointed me to this position.

"Rep. Johnson has deep knowledge of human services, health insurance and education policy as well municipal policies affecting smaller and mid-sized towns and cities. She has served as a member of the Medical Assistance Oversight Council (MAPOC) and as the MAPOC Complex Care Sub Committee co-chair since 2012 and served as House Chair of the legislature's Public Health Committee and Regulations Review Committee House Chair. She brings a wealth of experience to the Deputy Majority Leader team," said Majority Leader Rojas

I look forward to working with the Speaker, Majority Leader and my colleagues this session to continue to move Connecticut forward.
