In fact, much of what gets proposed, debated and voted on in the House and Senate begins with ideas shared by residents with their respective legislator.

That is why House Democrats encourage you to participate in the legislative process by making your voice heard. There are many ways to get involved such as testifying on legislation that comes before the various committees. You can also simply call or email to share your opinion on a particular issue or specific bill of interest.

We also invite you to visit your beautiful State Capitol and Legislative Office Building to take a tour, observe a committee meeting or public hearing, or witness the full House in session. Your legislator would love have you stop by and say Hi!
