STATEMENT FROM STATE REPRESENTATIVE KADEEM ROBERTS
ON THE DEATH OF TYRE NICHOLS
"I come alongside all those mourning and are shocked by the murder of Tyre Nichols, who should still be with us today. I give my deepest condolences to the Nichols Family and grieve with them. The body camera footage released this weekend has brought pain, horror, and terror to communities across this country. The officers involved will face justice, but the work for police reform does not stop there. We must continue to fight and press forward to end this cycle. I will never stop working towards reforming our criminal justice system. I will use my office to push for legislation that holds all law enforcement accountable for their actions and implements the best practices to ensure communities across Connecticut are safe for all residents and their rights are protected.” State Rep.
