| Our state is getting a major boost to help those who are in need. Connecticut is receiving $18 million in grants to combat unsheltered and rural homelessness. The money is coming from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The funds will go to two state agencies, the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
The money will support three major causes:
- Access to homeless services
- Help with homeless outreach services
- Assistance with permanent supportive housing.
